Antony has failed to live up to expectations at Old Trafford and could be offloaded in the summer, but <a href="https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2024/03/13/antony-police-investigations-manchester-united-sell-hopes/" target="_blank">The Telegraph</a> says any possible deal would be in danger of falling apart because of investigations in Brazil and England.

WHAT HAPPENED?

Antony's former girlfriend Gabriela Cavallin <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/news/antony-ex-girlfriend-gabriela-cavallin-claims-man-utd-star-attacked-her-when-pregnant-headbutt-cut-fingers-to-bone-shocking-abuse-allegations/blt41064b1c1915d863" target="_blank">has accused the Brazil international of assault</a> and Greater Manchester Police and Sao Paulo Civil Police are looking into the claims. Antony has strenuously denied the accusations.

THE BIGGER PICTURE

Antony has made 29 appearances in all competitions this season, but has started just 11 of the 22 Premier League matches in which he has featured. The winger has only registered one goal and an assist - both in the 4-2 win against fourth-tier team Newport County in the FA Cup. It was reported last month that the Red Devils are <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/man-utd-cut-losses-antony-sell-brazilian-summer-disastrous-season-erik-ten-hag/blt094c62d0acb97bc7" target="_blank">prepared to sell him at a significant loss</a> in the summer transfer window.
