Despite being included in the squad, Palmer was absent from the England's recent international matches as it was reported he was struggling with fitness issues. However, the 21-year-old was back on the training field on Wednesday, Chelsea <a href="https://www.chelseafc.com/en/news/article/five-from-training-internationals-return" target="_blank">confirmed,</a> just one day after the Three Lions' second friendly against Belgium.

WHAT HAPPENED?

Full-back Malo Gusto also made his return to training in midweek after he withdrew from the France Under-21 team. However, coach Mauricio Pochettino is still without Levi Colwill, Reece James and Christopher Nkunku in training as the trio continue to struggle with injuries.

Palmer has been an integral asset for Chelsea since joining the club from Manchester City last summer. He has scored 11 goals and made eight assists in 23 Premier League appearances, making him their most productive player in the English top flight.
