<p>That is according to the <a href="https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2024/10/14/pep-guardiola/ " target="_blank"><em>Daily Telegraph</em></a>, who report that Guardiola is ready to agree a one-year extension to his deal at the Etihad Stadium. His <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/will-pep-guardiola-stay-man-city-staff-unsure-boss-extend-contract-club-legend-spaniard-energised-title-defence/blt824bc57a9fcd6d81" target="_blank">current contract is due to expire in the summer of 2025</a>, but a further 12 months may be spent in Manchester after that.</p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>If Guardiola were to put pen to paper, before honouring said deal, then he would complete a decade of service with City. That is said to be a target for the Catalan coach, who only <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/guardiola-only-reason-return-barcelona-new-contract-man-city/blt375c7253a0fececf" target="_blank">spent four years with Barcelona</a> at the start of his coaching career, and three at German giants Bayern Munich.</p>
