<p>Raya made nine saves, eight of which came in the second half after Arsenal had been reduced to 10 men. The Spaniard was also awarded the official 'Man of the Match' award for his fantastic display at the Etihad.</p>

THE BIGGER PICTURE

<p>Arsenal's next match may not be as difficult as they face off against League One side Bolton in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday, September 25. As such, it is possible Raya may be awarded some rest, however, Arteta will have to play either Tommy Setford or 16-year-old Jack Porter, with Neto not eligible to appear for Arsenal in the competition.</p>
