<p>Burton had been Phil Parkinson's second choice as goalkeeper at Wrexham this season, however, the 28-year-old was <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/arthur-okonkwo-phil-parkinson-injured-goalkeeper-replacement-callum-burton-excellent-defeat-stockport-ryan-reynolds-rob-mcelhenney/blt88a9dd6d0527ad7c" target="_blank">forced into becoming the Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney-owned side's number one</a> after Arthur Okonkwo suffered a broken wrist early in November in the Red Dragons' 1-0 win over Mansfield Town.</p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>Speaking to the media, Parkinson said: "It's very bad news. It's going to be a long injury, it could be the season.</p><p>"One moment, Callum's tore his thigh and I am just really disappointed for him."</p>

WHAT PARKINSON SAID

<p>Okonkwo has already missed five games for Wrexham and Parkinson has revealed that the <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/wrexham-injury-blow-phil-parkinson-ryan-reynolds-rob-mcelhenney/blt0c1d027ec91c3320" target="_blank">23-year-old is still a long way off making a return to action</a>. He said: "Arthur's quite a way off yet. He's got another specialist appointment before Christmas."</p>

THE BIGGER PICTURE

<p>The Red Dragons will now have to trust 38-year-old Mark Howard in goal. The veteran had not started a league game in almost 12 months until <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/ffs-elliot-lee-ryan-reynolds-reacts-wrexham-olimpico-goal-winner-burton-albion-storm-darragh-assist/blt4de886f7fcfef9f6" target="_blank">lining up against Burton Albion</a>. Hence, Wrexham have signed Brad Foster as goalkeeper cover on a short-term contract.</p>
