Santiago Solari will take charge of Real Madrid for the first time in La Liga following Julen Lopetegui's departure on Monday.
The Castilla manager's reign as caretaker boss got off to a strong start on Wednesday night with a 4-0 Copa del Rey win at Melilla.
Victory at the Santiago Bernabeu this Saturday would help Madrid improve on their ninth place position as they look to make up the ground on table-toppers Barcelona.
It would also see them leapfrog sixth place Valladolid, who are unbeaten in six games in the league.

Real Madrid were humiliated last Sunday when they lost 5-1 at Camp Nou, and it ultimately cost Julen Lopetegui his job.
The former Spain boss' position had been precarious for a number of weeks due to Real's poor start to the season, which has seen Los Blancos loose four of their opening 10 league matches, but the Classico defeat was the final nail in Lopetegui's coffin. A permanent replacement is yet to be appointed, but Santiago Solari relieved some of the pressure in the capital with a Copa del Rey victory in mid-week.
Although the win was expected against lower-league opposition Melilla, a comprehensive result was needed to boost morale at the Santiago Bernabeu. Indeed, the league table makes for grim reading for Madrid fans as Real sit in ninth place at the start of the weekend, seven points behind Barcelona.
Real Valladolid on the other hand have enjoyed a sparkling return to the Primera Division. Pucela were promoted via the play-offs last season after finishing fifth in the Segunda Division and have romped to sixth place in the top tier with four wins in 10 La Liga outings.
Both of Valladolid's losses have come at home to the top two teams, Barca and Alaves, so they are yet to lose on the road. That said, they have not travelled to a team as well equipped as Real, and Madrid's stars will be eager to prove a point following Lopetegui's departure.
