<p>After dropping two crucial points against defending champions Al-Hilal last week, Al-Nassr got back to winning ways as they <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/ronaldo-sadio-mane-ex-liverpool-star-winner-for-al-nassr-cristiano-al-riyadh-win/blt2973c7c88d81a3cf" target="_blank">edged out Al-Riyadh 1-0</a> courtesy of a first-half strike from Mane. In between, the Saudi giants had faced reigning Asian champions Al-Ain in the midweek in the AFC Champions League, where they picked up a thumping 5-1 with Ronaldo finding his name on the scoresheet.</p>

WHAT CRISTIANO RONALDO SAID

<p>It was a crucial win for Stefano Pioli's side who are currently six points adrift of league leaders Al-Hilal and five points behind second-placed Al-Ittihad. While Al-Nassr are yet to lose a league game in the 2024-25 campaign, they have been held to a draw on four occasions which has affected their league position. Ronaldo, who has won just one trophy since his much-hyped move to the Middle East in January 2023, <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/cristiano-ronaldo-al-nassr-nightmare-struggling-make-impact-saudi-season-off-rails/blt66fcb371d93686e8" target="_blank">will be desperate to bag the league title</a> in the current campaign.</p>
