<p>Bellingham was sent home from Southgate's England squad earlier this week, still recovering from a knock sustained in early November. WHAT HAPPENED?

<p><span>Bellingham suffered a partial dislocation of his left shoulder in Madrid's <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/is-jude-bellingham-still-injured-real-madrid-update-england-midfielder-shoulder-problem/bltc5f957be18ae7377" target="_blank">La Liga contest with Rayo in early November</a>. Although he was named among the substitutes for Los Blancos' following fixture — a win over Braga in the Champions League — he didn't appear against Valencia.</span></p><p></p><p></p><p></p>

<p>In a press conference following his side's win over Valencia on Saturday, <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/jude-bellingham-england-midfielder-fitness-update-missing-two-games-real-madrid-shoulder-injury/blt3766caa776d8da58" target="_blank">Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti was adamant that his star man couldn't play for England this international break</a>: "He'll be assessed [by England]. If he didn't play today, he can't play with the national team. He'll do specific work on his shoulder. After the break he can play again."</p>

<p>Bellingham is leading La Liga's Pichichi race so far this year, with 10 goals in 11 games. Atletico Madrid's Antoine Griezmann is just behind him with seven.</p>
