Recalling the end to his time at Old Trafford on The Overlap's <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sfMyNk1Lpwo" target="_blank">Stick to Football</a> podcast from <a href="https://m.skybet.com/football/premier-league/1" target="_blank">Sky Bet</a>, Keane said: "I got called into a meeting with Ferguson and Gill and before I sat down they say: 'Here we go, we've already prepared a statement, would you like to read it?' And they had the years wrong!"Keane went on to reveal that that statement said he had been at the club for 11 and a half years when he had in fact served for a year longer.

Keane's departure from United and his clash with Ferguson remains an extraordinary chapter in the club's history. The feud between the pair remains with the Irishman adamant he will never speak to his former manager.
