WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>Manchester United have now made an offer to Paris Saint-Germain for Mendes as they are keen to sign their main target for the January transfer window as per <a href="https://x.com/FabriceHawkins/status/1872687622340120790" target="_blank">Fabrice Hawkins of RMC Sport</a>. The report has suggested that the Portuguese international is interested by the potential of moving to Old Trafford as he is unhappy at Parc des Princes.</p>

THE BIGGER PICTURE

<p>Mendes' contract at PSG runs until 2026 and the French giants have been looking to extend the left-back's contract. However, the 22-year-old is not happy with the wages he has been offered by the Ligue 1 champions and has felt disrespected. Hence, Mendes is very keen on exiting the club in January or in the summer of 2025.</p>
