<p>According to <a href="https://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/part-club-pep-guardiolas-115-30071139" target="_blank"><em>Manchester Evening News</em></a><em>, </em>City supporters have taken action, raising over £1000 to fund a banner that pleads with their beloved manager to remain at the helm of the club by signing a new deal. The banner, inscribed with the words "Pep Guardiola, we want you to stay" in Catalan, will be unveiled in the near future. </p>

<p>While expressing his bond with the club and the fans when speaking to the media, Guardiola said: "I fell in love [with the fans] since the first day here. What's going to happen is going to happen. I am part of this club. It is deep inside my bones."</p><p>Guardiola made it clear that he has full confidence in Manchester City's leadership and emphasized that his loyalty is unwavering, regardless of the potential outcomes of the ongoing investigation into the club's financial conduct. </p><p>"I trust the owners, especially the chairman for the relationship, and CEO's and everyone working here for many years," he said.</p><p>"I know them well, more than any of you. For the people around, but the best way to defend is do our job the best. Everyone working here has their responsibility. My responsibility is to hold my players hands and together win games.</p><p>"The rest, there are situations in eight, nine years there, some expected, some tough to deal. No complaints and do what you have to do. Of course, I'm part of this club, I love this club and always will be this way. Cannot be different for the way they treat me since day one. It's impossible, when you give something and they give me a lot. The rest is the consequences."</p>

WHAT GUARDIOLA SAID

<p>When asked if he felt the need to defend the club in light of the charges, Guardiola took a pragmatic approach. "The best way to defend the club is by winning games," he said.</p><p>"We cannot misunderstand the reason I'm here. At the same time, I'm the person who talks more through the media and sends messages to fans or wherever. Of course, I want to defend my club." </p><p>Guardiola will get to defend City's crest next on Saturday against Fulham in a Premier League encounter. </p>
