<p>Scotland's hopes of progressing from the group stages at the European Championships for the first time in history were<a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/scotland-player-ratings-vs-hungary-steve-clarke-scott-mctominay-che-adams-euro-2024/bltab798e6c529116a9" target="_blank"> crushed by a last-minute Hungary winner in their final match. </a>Steve Clarke's side had just 17 shots across their three games, the joint-lowest tally since the groups were introduced in 1980, equalling Northern Ireland's record in 2016.</p>

<p>Scotland's tournament never got going following their 5-1 defeat to hosts Germany on the opening night.
