<p>Rashford has enjoyed a strong start to life in Birmingham following his loan move from United. He has scored two goals and laid on four assists in 10 games and, at the weekend, he <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/marcus-rashford-double-man-utd-outcast-aston-villa-wembley-first-goals-unai-emery-fa-cup-win-preston/blt76c26fa2202cc7ea" target="_blank">scored twice in a 3-0 win over Preston North End</a> as Villa reached the FA Cup semi-finals. </p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>Despite his fine form, Jordan believes that Villa will not countenance paying the England star's reported £300,000-per-week wages, despite the fact that they reportedly have an option to sign him for £40 million ($52m). <a href="www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/marcus-rashford-makes-key-decision-future-weeks-after-leaving-man-utd-aston-villa-loan/blt000552ddb3fdd029#cs2c6a7039405bf796" target="_blank">Rashford is said to want to stay</a>, but it is unclear if the finances will add up. Villa sit ninth in the Premier League table but they are just four points behind fourth-placed Chelsea, and Champions League qualification could well transform the picture.</p>

THE BIGGER PICTURE

<p>Speaking on <a href="https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/manchester-united-villa-rashford-jordan-34971486" target="_blank">talkSPORT</a>, he said: "I could have bet you any money in the&nbsp;world&nbsp;that Rashford would come alive for Aston Villa. Fantastic, but wait until Villa have got to write a cheque out. I think they're too canny and too wise to fall into this trap.</p><p>"It's one thing having a player on loan, playing a small percent of his wages so it's a small transaction. You have him for four months, it costs you £5-6million, nothing, nobody cares. Everybody knew&nbsp;Marcus Rashford&nbsp;was going to lift a leg at Villa.</p><p>"I think the system helps as well. I just think Villa are too wise for it and first of all, they're not going to want to pay over £300,000 a week and a transfer fee. It's too big of a deal."</p>

<p>Villa face two league games, against Brighton and Nottingham Forest, before taking on PSG in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final. </p>
