<p>The Germany and Bayern legend is already into the final year of his contract at Allianz Arena and will become a free agent in the summer of 2025, with no sign of a renewal being agreed as yet. Per <a href="https://sportbild.bild.de/fussball/fc-bayern-muenchen/fc-bayern-muenchen-der-zukunftsplan-von-thomas-mueller-672107238f9b8c158219f09d" target="_blank"><em>SPORT BILD</em></a>, Muller could consider bringing the curtain down on his illustrious playing career at the end of the 2024-25 campaign. It has been suggested Muller could take up a management position at the club, but he is also considering moving into punditry.</p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>The report further claims that the 35-year-old could consider prolonging his career outside of Europe, as he has attracted interest from some MLS clubs. The <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/pros-and-cons-new-mls-calendar-consistency-fifa-international-breaks-damage-rest-american-ecosystem/blt98de1b4c9b343174" target="_blank">American league currently boast of having some of the top football stars</a>, albeit at the twilight of their careers, like Lionel Messi, Sergio Busquets and Luis Suarez. With the 2026 World Cup closing in - which will be held in the USA, Mexico and Canada - a new challenge in MLS is said to appeal to Muller.</p>

<p>The former Germany attacker, who ended his international career after the team's quarter-final exit at Euro 2024, is one of the most decorated players ever to grace the pitch for Bayern. He has also surpassed the legendary Franz Beckenbauer for the most appearances in Bayern's history (718).</p>
