<p>The winger has been <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/angel-di-maria-linked-sensational-inter-miami-move-argentine-looks-link-up-with-lionel-messi-luis-suarez/blt4d17bf8dffbe0522" target="_blank">linked with a sensational move to Major League Soccer</a>, however, according to <a href="https://x.com/FabrizioRomano/status/1802258596907909389" target="_blank"><em>Fabrizio Romano</em></a>, Di Maria is yet to agree on a deal to join Inter Miami. The journalist further claimed that The Herons did approach the player a few weeks ago but they are yet to come up with a formal proposal.</p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>Di Maria plays alongside Messi at La Albiceleste and shared the dressing room with the superstar for a season at Paris Saint-Germain before he moved to Juventus and then Benfica last summer. His current deal with the Portuguese giants expires on June 30.</p>

THE BIGGER PICTURE

<p>The 36-year-old former Real Madrid and Manchester United player had announced last year that <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/angel-di-maria-confirms-argentina-retirement-after-copa-america/bltfaa2f9961908651b" target="_blank">Copa America 2024 would be his last dance with the national team</a>. He won the continental competition in 2021 and then bagged the World Cup trophy in Qatar a year later.</p>
