- Bellingham slots home in 2-1 win
- Has 11 goals in 12 games
- Limped off late on
WHAT HAPPENED? Bellingham netted what would ultimately be the winner in the 2-1 victory in Portugal, coolly slotting home shortly after the hour mark for his third Champions League goal in as many games. However, he was withdrawn in the 89th minute with an apparent knock, leading to concern that he may be a doubt for Saturday's Clasico clash against arch-rivals Barcelona.
WHAT THEY SAID: Speaking after the game, Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti moved to allay any fears of a serious injury, telling reporters: "Jude Bellingham is not at risk for El Clasico. He only had some minor discomfort, no serious injury."
THE BIGGER PICTURE: Bellingham would be a huge loss for Madrid if he isn't deemed to be fully fit. He has made a flying start to life at the Bernabeu, failing to score in just three of his 12 appearances to date following a big-money move from Borussia Dortmund.
