Wu Lei became the first Chinese player to score a goal against Barcelona this past weekend in a dramatic finale to the derby.
The Espanyol striker pounced two minutes from time to earn hosts Espanyol a 2-2 draw against the Liga-leaders.
And there was also a late strike for Villarreal, as Santi Cazorla once again proved the difference with a fine, left-footed strike that sealed a 2-1 win at Real Sociedad.
Elsewhere, Maxi Gomez was the hero for Valencia, with his thumping header the only goal of the game in his side’s clash with Eibar.
