WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>At his ceremony, <a href="https://x.com/BarcaUniversal/status/1743227841502724195?s=20" target="_blank">Roque offered some insight</a> into his maiden Barca appearance: "It's a dream come true to be here. Before I made my debut yesterday, Xavi told me to be calm. My teammates received me very well, in the best way possible."</p>

WHAT VITOR ROQUE SAID

<p>Roque arrived at Barca at the start of the month after the <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/vitor-roque-barcelona-xavi-training-update-eur35m-brazilian-forward/blta1975413d96e0671#csdf27a2644999a84c" target="_blank">Blaugrana agreed an inital fee of €35m (£30m/$39m)</a> with Athletico Paranaense to secure his services. They fought off interest from Real Madrid and Arsenal to bring in the highly-rated teenager.</p>

THE BIGGER PICTURE

<p>The Brazilian striker figures to be a part of the Barca setup for the remainder of the season. With starting No.9 Robert Lewandowski struggling, Roque could be in line for heavy minutes in the coming months. </p>
