Casemiro insisted he is happy to remain at United amid <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/manchester-united-al-nassr-cristiano-ronaldo-casemiro-aaron-wan-bissaka-transfer-cristiano-ronaldo/blte983aa70ff52e536" target="_blank">rumours that clubs in Saudi Arabia were swooping for his signature</a>. WHAT CASEMIRO SAID

United will be desperate for Casemiro to return as they have suffered with a lack of depth in midfield this season. Young academy product, Kobbie Mainoo, has <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/kobbie-mainoo-midfield-brain-man-utd-missing-teenager-patience-calm-platform-resurgence/bltc4b8d0043895aeb4" target="_blank">exceeded expectations to fill the void in front of the defensive line adequately</a> - but, the 18-year-old cannot do the job on his own for the whole season. Casemiro will be a welcome tutor for the youngster.

United and Casemiro will be hoping his return will be sooner rather than later. There is an outside chance that the Brazilian will return tomorrow against Newport County in the FA Cup Fourth Round for Erik Ten Hag's side.
