It has been revealed in the past that the highly-rated forward has <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/explained-200m-erling-haaland-transfer-release-clause-vanished-pep-guardiola/bltbaa454c8ebe44d82" target="_blank">a release clause in his contract</a> that will come into effect next summer.

Our players can have the feeling that they have their destiny in their hands.”

Haaland’s contract with City is due to run until 2027. He may not see out that agreement, though, and could end up heading to Spain. Real are also being <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/still-no-kylian-mbappe-turns-down-psg-contract-offer-real-madrid-wait-green-light-transfer/blt309bc7e5d174a301" target="_blank">heavily linked with Paris Saint-Germain superstar Kylian Mbappe</a>, meaning that another fearsome attacking unit could be pieced together by the Blancos.
