Orlando Pirates terminate Vincent Pule's contract! Will Kaizer Chiefs or Mamelodi Sundowns pounce?

The 32-year-old joined Pirates in 2018 from Bidvest Wits and made an immediate impact at the club.&nbsp;During his tenure, Pule played over 140 matches and contributed to 35 goals, including both goals and assists.

WHAT HAPPENED?

“On behalf of the entire Orlando Pirates family, we would like to thank Vincent for everything he has done for this football club,” the club shared in a statement on their <a href="https://www.orlandopiratesfc.com/news/thank-you-vincent/" target="_blank">website</a>.“A phenomenal player, who gave us incredible moments in the field of play while also displaying qualities of a model professional off it. Thank you, Vincent! Once Always,” it concluded.

WHAT PIRATES SAID?

Pule had signed a contract extension until 2025, with an option to further extend last season but managed only 11 appearances, starting just three games.&nbsp;Despite this, he would leave with pride, having won two Nedbank Cups and three MTN 8 trophies with the Sea Robbers.

THE BIGGER PICTURE

With a chance to explore new opportunities, Pule had been linked to a move to Kaizer Chiefs even before joining the Buccaneers, and there were also reports of interest from Mamelodi Sundowns. Given the current player turnover at Amakhosi, it would be intriguing to see if Pule would switch to the Black &amp; Gold of Soweto.
