<p>Pogba <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/paul-pogba-juventus-over-french-midfielder-free-agent-contract-termination-heads-miami-train-next-move/blt236ed8ce0c70635c" target="_blank">was released by the Serie A club on Friday</a>, clearing the way for him to make a free transfer to another club as the midfielder nears his return to the game.</p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>Pogba returned to Juve in 2022, but managed just eight Serie A appearances as injury ravaged his first season back before he was given a four-year doping ban, which has since <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/paul-pogba-juventus-midfielder-doping-ban-reduced-following-appeal/blt5e2f1cac38c2d0c4" target="_blank">been reduced to 18 months</a>.</p><p>The 31-year-old is allowed to return to training in January and can play again in March, and he penned a message to the Bianconeri fans as he closes one chapter of his career and prepares to open another.</p>
