The Dane has found form at a crucial time for United as they bid to re-emerge as contenders for a top-four finish.

WHAT HAPPENED?

"It has always been there, I have always believed in myself, it has just been about getting the rhythm going. You get one goal, then two and get a bit of momentum and start linking up with the players," Hojlund told Sky Sports. "I spoke with my team-mates and manager because we need to make each other better, that is what it is about. I want to be involved as much as possible. "I also worked a lot on myself, I looked at my game and what I could improve. I think I have developed a lot since I've been here."

WHAT HOJLUND SAID

Hojlund celebrated his latest goal by using his leg as an imaginary guitar as he basked in the adoration of the Old Trafford crowd. When asked to explain the meaning behind the new move, he replied: "When I was with my friends in the summer, they told me I should do it and I hadn't done it. He [my friend] reminded me, we had this short spell when I was in Denmark, and he reminded me I should do it. It stuck with me and I just thought I would give it a chance."

WHAT HOJLUND SAID ABOUT HIS CELEBRATION

Hojlund could not score in the Premier League in his first four months and was criticised for the goal drought after United paid £72m ($90m) to sign him from Atalanta. But he has been on a roll since bagging the winner against Aston Villa on December 26, also netting against Tottenham, Newport County and now West Ham.
