Siyethemba Sithebe breaks silence after Kaizer Chiefs exit - 'I’m giving thanks to the Khosi nation'

Kaizer Chiefs <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-za/lists/booted-out-kaizer-chiefs-release-sifiso-hlanti-keagan-dolly-and-siyethemba-sithebe-ahead-of-nasreddine-nabi-arrival/blt6f462788824c23dd" target="_blank">opted against extending the contracts</a> of Siyethemba Sithebe, Keagan Dolly and Sifiso Hlanti, whose contracts expire on June 30.The 31-year-old Sithebe has been at Naturena since July 2022 when he was signed from AmaZulu and went on to play 39 matches across all competitions.&nbsp;However, he is now deemed surplus to requirements and will not be part of the team ahead of the new season.

Amakhosi are <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-za/lists/not-yet-farewell-kaizer-chiefs-bound-nabi-makes-throne-cup-final-decision-after-semi-final-triumph/blt610ace3bdf1452f4" target="_blank">reorganising their house</a> hoping to end their nine-year trophyless spell in the forthcoming season.They have already reportedly agreed to work with Nasreddine Nabi who will be the head coach, assisted by Fernando da Cruz while Ilyes Mzoughi comes in as goalkeepers' trainer.

Sithebe has proved on numerous occasions that on his day, he can be unstoppable regardless of the opponent he is playing against.It will be interesting to see what will be the next destination for the midfielder who has played 154 Premier Soccer League matches for Usuthu and Amakhosi, scoring eight goals and providing four assists in the process.&nbsp;
