<p>Nunez took aim from distance in the first leg of Liverpool's round of 16 Europa League tie and smashed an effort beyond the goalkeeper, with the ball dipping and swerving on its way into the roof of the net. The goal was the Reds' 1,000th under the management of Jurgen Klopp.</p><p>He then proceeded to double his tally just moments later, firing an effort from the opposite side of the pitch past a hapless goalkeeper.</p>

<p>Nunez has been in fine form for Liverpool this season and has now scored 15 goals in all competitions, while also laying on 11 assists. The first goal may not go down as his best - the goalkeeper probably could have done better - but it will be one of for the highlight reel, and picking up two in such a fevered European atmosphere will definitely live long in the memory.</p>
