Percy Tau started for Qatar SC in the Qatar Stars League match against Al Ahli on Friday and made a key contribution.The Bafana Bafana vice captain won a penalty for Qatar SC for their second goal in the 3-0 away win over Al Ahli who had the 2014 Fifa World Cup winner with Germany, Julian Draxler in their starting line-up.

It was Tau's third game for Qatar SC since joining them from Egyptian giants Al Ahly in January.He is yet to score and winning the penalty was his major notable contribution so far for his new club. Now that Tau is enjoying some playing time, it could help him return to the Bafana Bafana fold in March when Hugo Broos' side resumes the 2026 Fifa World Cup qualifiers.

Tau will be hoping to start again when Qatar SC visit Al Gharafa for their next league game on February 22.This time around, the Bafana man will be hoping to at least score his first goal for his club.
