The Brazilian goalkeeper was involved in a nasty second-half collision with Spurs centre-back Cristian Romero and was eventually replaced by deputy Stefan Ortega after initially being cleared to continue by medical staff. Ederson left the field with swelling under his right eye and <a href="https://www.mancity.com/news/mens/injury-update-ederson-63851458" target="_blank">City have confirmed</a> he has suffered a small fracture to his eye socket.

WHAT HAPPENED?

Ederson will subsequently miss <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/man-city-2024-25-kit/blt981e921c67b98903" target="_blank">City's final Premier League match</a> against West Ham on Sunday, where a win will secure a fourth consecutive crown for Pep Guardiola's side. The South American stopper will also be unavailable for the Cityzens' FA Cup final clash against local rivals Manchester United, although Ortega would likely have played even if he were available - as the German is often the first choice in domestic cup competitions.
