<p>Reigning Premier League champions Manchester City have been a <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/revealed-start-date-man-city-115-charge-ffp-hearing-premier-league/blt1fbd32bdb681f2cc#csc0c1276ecd979ed3" target="_blank">hearing into their Financial Fair Play case</a> open on Monday, September 16. With proceedings finally getting underway, it is expected that all evidence will be heard over the next 10 weeks.</p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>Ahead of the legal battle between the Premier League and the Cityzens, <a href="https://www.betfair.com/betting/football/english-premier-league/c-10932509" target="_blank">Betfair/YouGov</a> conducted a survey where they interacted with more than 2,000 football fans across the UK regarding City's case. The survey has revealed that more than half (55 per cent) of the fans want a <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/man-city-players-115-ffp-charges-rule-broken-threat-premier-league-expulsion/blt5632f90f33f22e3e#cs6e6ae43a88a27a2d" target="_blank">points deduction for the champions</a> if they are found guilty of flouting FFP rules, while 45 per cent want a heavy fine to be imposed on the Manchester club. Meanwhile, 41 per cent of fans want the club to be stripped of the league titles that they won in the last decade.</p>
