The reason for the 25-year-old being given the time off has been due to a lack of fitness, however, fans have wondered if Mbappe is prioritising Los Blancos as he has played two games for the side since returning from injury. </p>

<p><a href="https://www.footmercato.net/a3903891747901837894-equipe-de-france-les-dessous-de-la-treve-internationale-polemique-de-kylian-mbappe" target="_blank">French outlet Foot Mercato</a> have now claimed that Mbappe has told Deschamps that he will only play in important matches for France as he targets the 2025 Ballon d'Or. Due to the increasing number of games players have been forced to play, the report has claimed that the Frenchman is keen to stay fit for Real Madrid regardless of whether the 'malaise continues to grow' between him and the national team. </p>

<p>Despite not being called up by the French national team, Mbappe was given the week off by Real Madrid and as per <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/kylian-mbappe-sweden-nightclub-france-israel-international-duty/bltc9929416556cfe1b" target="_blank">Swedish daily Aftonbladet, the 25-year-old was spotted partying in Stockholm</a> on Thursday. However, the Nordic escapade is said to be a Real Madrid-approved vacation putting to bed any sort of rumours. </p>
