<a href="https://www.goal.com/en-in/lists/kylian-mbappe-teases-real-madrid-announcement-psg/bltde6d0ae9f248878e" target="_blank">Mbappe's situation and his exit from Les Parisiens</a> saw a lot of questions raised over the relationship between Enrique and the forward, despite the Spaniard's constant praise of the 25-year-old. Enrique has not helped quell the rumours as he chose Vitinha as his player of the season despite Mbappe being involved in a spectacular 51 goals in 48 appearances.

WHAT HAPPENED?

Speaking to the media, Enrique said: "For me, [Vitinha] is the player of the season. If you add up his qualities as a footballer, he is the best in the team and yet all of the players are good, but he is exceptional."

WHAT ENRIQUE SAID

Vitinha joined PSG in the summer of 2022 from Porto, he had a mixed first season at the club under Christophe Galtier. However, since the start of the season under Enrique, the Portuguese midfielder has been the mainstay and the glue that has held together the system for the Spanish coach.

THE BIGGER PICTURE

With Mbappe's departure this summer, the Parisian side will be looking for the rest of their players to step up to the plate as they look to keep up their dominance in domestic football and rise to newer heights in Europe.
