According to <a href="https://www.sportico.com/business/team-sales/2024/necaxa-backers-invest-wrexham-reynolds-mcelhenney-1234776933/ " target="_blank">Sportico</a>, a strengthening of ties between the Liga MX team and an ambitious outfit in North Wales has seen a five per cent share in Wrexham change hands.

WHAT HAPPENED?

A recent filing from Wrexham confirmed that such a stake had been sold, but did not reveal to whom. It is now being claimed that said share has been acquired by NX Football USA. That is where World Cup winner Ozil comes into the equation.
