WHAT SAUERBRUNN SAID

<a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/usnwnt-player-ratings-mexico/blt75a7f17ca8e413be" target="_blank">It was a disappointing defeat and performance from the USWNT</a> but Twila Kilgore's team had already qualified for the Gold Cup quarter-finals and can still have a successful tournament. Finishing second to Mexico in Group A will make that success harder to attain, though, as a trickier opponent in the knockout stages likely awaits.

THE BIGGER PICTURE

The USWNT will learn its next opponent when the Gold Cup quarter-final ties are decided after Wednesday night's final group stage fixtures. Those knockout games will be played on March 2 and 3.
