Ashgold's Tanasijevic invited referee to see how he made his players cry after Kotoko match

Ashanti Gold coach Svetislav Tanasijevic believes the progress of 23-time Ghana Premier League champions Asante Kotoko has been helped by favours from referees.

The Miners' boss was speaking on the back of their 2-0 loss to the Porcupines on matchday four of the GFA Normalisation Committee Special Competition on Wednesday.

Midfielder Abdul Fatawu Safiu scored twice to claim all points for the Kumasi-based side in Kumasi.

“If Asante Kotoko is a big club, why are referees always helping them?" Tanasijevic asked.

“We had a clear penalty he ignored.

"I extended an invitation to the referee into our dressing room just to observe how my boys were shedding tears, knowing he caused our loss."

Ashgold sit fourth on the table in Zone A, having won one, drawn two and lost one of four games played thus far.

Meanwhile Kotoko are on top of the log.
