EXTRA TIME
French sixth-tier club JA Biarritz were drawn against Ligue 1 side Rennes in the Coupe de France, and could not be happier about the fixture!
Having entered at the third round and beaten six sides to reach this stage of the competition, the Aquitaine Regional League club watched in anticipation as the draw was made, with Ligue 1 teams entering at the ninth round.

The Biarritz players all gathered around their computer in the clubhouse, to see their name called against one of France's oldest clubs Rennes - and the squad could not hide their delight!
Luckily local journalist Laurent Zègre was on hand to record it all - including the wonderful singing, dancing, and chanting after the draw was made.

Biarritz will take on Rennes on the weekend of Sunday, January 8 in the biggest game in their history, and have already issued a warning to fans looking for tickets:
"Ticket Information Coupe De France: as soon as we have information on the sale of tickets, we will communicate them to you. There is no point in contacting us now. Thank you for your understanding."
